First Time Agent?
To receive commission, you must be appointed as a broker with American Specialty Insurance & Risk Services, Inc. If your office is already appointed but has not yet received an American Specialty Express Agency Commission Code, email us at express@americanspecialty.com and we will send it to you.
If your office is not yet appointed, you will need to take the following steps:
- Step 1 - Complete an American Specialty Broker Agreement.
- Step 2 - Provide the following:
o For Broker Agreement in Agency’s Name (FEIN) - Agency corporate license issued by your state's Department of Insurance and, if applicable, non-resident agency licenses for each state in which you have an account insured with our program; or
For Broker Agreement in Individual’s Name (SSN) - Your resident license and, if applicable, non-resident licenses for each state in which you have an account insured with our program.
o Copy of Form W-9 (download Form W-9).
o Evidence of Professional Liability coverage with at least $1,000,000 Occurrence limit. - Step 3 - Please send the above items to compliance@americanspecialty.com.
Upon receipt of all necessary information, you will receive your Agency Commission Code, which you will need to enter during the insurance application process.
